Fund raising event held
The Westin Dhaka hosted Run to Give, an annual charity fundraising run in the capital yesterday.
The event was organised by Marriott International, says a press release.
At the event the hotel donated all the proceeds it raised through a short marathon to Friendship, an organisation working for the flood affected people of Bangladesh.
Starting from The Westin Dhaka premises the run concluded at Joggers Park, Gulshan.
Representatives from the management team of the five star hotel joined the run.
Among all other attendees, distinguished corporate personalities, government officials, guests and associates of the five star property were present.
At the end of the short marathon the winners were recognized with medals by the Westin Dhaka Management. Following the prize giving ceremony, a cheque was handed over to the management of Friendship by Azra Mahmood (Media Personality), Shakawath Hossain (Resident Manager, The Westin Dhaka) and Md. Al Amin (Director of Sales Marketing, The Westin Dhaka).
