Tamil actor Jai arrested for drunk driving

Actor Jai was arrested on Thursday for driving under the influence of alcohol. The actor rammed his car on the Adyar flyover on Thursday morning and was later released on bail. Jai was booked under Sections 185 (driving by a drunken person or by a person under the influence of drugs) of the Motor Vehicles Act and 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way) of the Indian Penal Code. We hear that the Police have suggested cancelling his driving license.

It is said that Jai was partying on Wednesday night along with his upcoming film, ‘Party’ co-star, Premgi and others at a star hotel in Chennai. The actor left the party along with Premgi and was driving under the influence of alcohol and rammed the divider on the Adyar flyover. His Audi car was damaged in the accident. The actor has earlier rammed his car at a median near Kasi theatre, thus disrupting the flow of traffic.
