The Third Yunnan Air Travel Market Promotion was recently held in Baoshan, attracting about 40 airlines from both at home and abroad, as well as about 400 attendees from well-known travel agencies across the country. The participating parties agreed to promote the full integration of Yunnan’s international aviation network and tourism industry, jointly building up the province’s air travel network.
Zhou Kai, Chairman of the Yunnan Airport Group, said: “In the first half of 2015, the Group has added 25 air routes, including 15 domestic and ten international routes. Kunming Airport is now running 148 flights to and from South and Southeast Asia every week, and an aviation network centring on Kunming and covering most of China, as well as cities in major South and Southeast Asian counties, has come into being.
In order to facilitate the implementation of the 72-hour visa-free transit at Kunming Airport, according to Yunnan Airport Group, Airport Express bus routes will be extended to cover more destinations.
