CHITTAGONG: Three people died in separate incidents in the port city and district, reports BSS. Of the deceased, Mohammad Rajib Ahmed, 25, Mohammad Sagor,19, were the residents of Comilla district while Dulal Mia,35, son of Nurul Islam, was the inhabitant of Kottoli area under Akbarshah thana in the port city.
Rajib was electrocuted when he was charging his cell phone in Alinagar area under Bayzid thana at about 11:30 pm last night. He was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where on-duty doctors declared him dead, CMCH police outpost sources said.
Teenager Sagor died after falling off the roof of a moving train in Faujdarhat area under Sitakunda thana early on Thursday. Mohammad Faruk, sub-inspector (SI) of GRP thana, told BSS that Sagor fell from a Chittagong-bound train in early hours of Thursday. He was rushed to CMCH where attending doctors declared him dead. Meanwhile, a bus hit Dulal when he was crossing road in Fozdarhat bypass area at about 11:45 pm last night.
Locals took him to the CMCH but the attending doctors declared him dead a few minutes after his admission.
