Health Minister Mohammad Nasim yesterday said Aung San Suu Kyi, the state counsellor of Myanmar, is deceiving the global community by telling utter lies about Rohingya persecution in Rakhine State, reports UNB.
Referring to Suu Kyi's claim that the Myanmar government is unaware of the reason behind the exodus of 450,000 Rohingyas to Bangladesh and no violence took place there since September 5, Nasim said the global community is shocked with her false statement.
“They (Myanmar) have to take back their Rohingya citizens and no other argument will be allowed in this regard,” he said.
The government has been providing food, shelter and medical treatment to the refugees. "And we're monitoring it strongly so that not a single Rohingya is deprived of these services," he said.
DirectorateGeneral ofHealthServices and DirectorateGeneral ofFamily Planning(DGFP) are jointly providing the services, he added.
All the necessary vaccination, medicines and Vitamin A capsule were given to the children while at least 200 pregnant Rohingya women gave birth so far, Nasim said.
