Md Sirajul Haque, assistant director of the commission, filed the cases with Sadarghat Police Station of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) on April 6, 2017. Seven people including Abul Khayer were accused in the cases.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed one of the two cases on the charge of embezzling over Tk 2.75 crore from a project on installing the Hydrant line, an aviation fueling system, at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the fiscal 1995-96.
In another case, five persons including Abul Khayer were accused for misappropriating around Tk 33 lakh during the construction of a three-storey office of Padma Oil at Doulatpur in Khulna in 1996.
