CYSAO Forum held in Kunming

Recently, the China Yunnan-South Asia Organisations(CYSAO)  Forum was held in Kunming. The theme of this year’s forum is “Joining Hands for Friendship, Cooperation and Development.” The forum is designed to serve as a platform for non-governmental dialogue between Yunnan Province and South Asian countries.

In recent years, Yunnan has given full play to its geographical advantages and has constantly deepened its friendly exchanges and cooperation with the countries  of South Asia. Focusing on South and Southeast Asia, Yunnan will promote policy consultations, trade promotions, infrastructure connectivity, financial cooperation and people-to-people exchanges.

Mr. Anoop Ranjan Bhattarai, president of Organization for South Asian Regional Friendship and Cooperation with China, attended the forum opening ceremony and said in his speech that currently, with the Belt and Road Initiative bringing significant development opportunities, South Asian countries should take the initiative to strengthen exchanges and cooperation and seek common development goals.
