Directed by Kyle Badla and Pierre Coffin, Minions (2015) was one of the blockbusters of this summer. This movie all the way exposes the progression of the Minions and their ultimate journey of survival. If those minute yellowish creatures from “Despicable Me” and its sequel drove you crazy then “Minions”, the third chapter of this series won’t disappoint you at all. 90 minutes can be a very undersized time for some films, but it is just perfect when it is about Minions. About the story, Minions, even though it lacks some momentum comparing to one of its previous installments Despicable Me, also promotes some scenes to laugh-out loud.
The flick is an outrageous comedy which is suitable for children and adults alike to enjoy. The central character of the movie series Gru and his adopted daughters are nowhere to be found in this movie nor are found Pharrell William’s likable songs. Among the bunch of minions, only three of the minions, Stuart, Bob and Kevin lead the movie on the central characters, board upon a thrilling journey against the world’s first ever female super-villain, Scarlet Overkill. Sandra Bullock, Jon Hamm, Michael Keaton, Allison Janney, Steve Coogan and Jennifer Saunders gave their voices on the regular characters.
