Moon sighting meeting on Asura today

A meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee will be held today to review the news of the moon sighting of the holy Muharram, 1439 Hijri and to fix the date of the holy Asura, reports BSS.

The meeting will be held in the conference room of the Islamic Foundation with State Minister for Religious Affairs Principal Matiur Rahman in the chair, an official release said today.

The committee has requested people to inform the news over fax and telephone as the moon of the holy month is seen by anybody from any places in the country.
