The Asia Cup Hockey will be opened for the spectators as the fans will have the opportunity to enjoy the matches at free of cost while almost all the preparations are going on in full swing and 70 to 80 percent works were completed.
The Asia Cup Hockey tournament will take place in Dhaka from October 11 to 22 at the Maulana Bhashani Hockey Stadium while the Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) is closer to complete all the renovation works as directed by the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF).
Tournament committee had a coordination meeting yesterday about the progress of their works when the vice-president of the BHF Khaja Rahamt Ullah, chairman of the tournament committee Shafiullah Al Munir, secretary Mamunur Rashid were present among others. Mamunur Rashid while talking to this correspondent yesterday said that they have working hard to complete all the preparations works before the due the time, set by the AHF.
Mamunur Rashid said, “Installation of flood light, one of the main condition to be the host of the tournament have already completed 70 to 80 percent, VIP gallery ad press box also same. Yesterday (Tuesday) four members team of broadcast channel Star Sports, one from Singapore and another from India visited the venue to evaluate the progression of the works of whole facilities and they satisfied watching the development.”
