Body of missing naval policeman recovered

MUNSHIGANJ: The body of a naval policeman, who drowned in the River Padma yesterday, was recovered from Shimulia ferry ghat of the district yesterday, reports BSS.

The deceased was identified as Jahidul Islam Jahid, batch no-6228, was a resident at Thakurpur village under Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district.

Officer-in-Charge of Lohajang Thana Md Anisur Rahman said Jahidul Islam drowned in the River Padma in Lohajang upazila on Monday afternoon when he was taking bath due to strong current.
