The two-day drama festival concluded yesterday at Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) auditorium of Dhaka University (DU), reports BSS. DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the festival on Sunday while Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor attended it as the chief guest, said a press release. Theatre and Performance Studies Department Chairman Md Ahmedul Kabir attended the function as special guest, said the release.
President of DU Drama troupe Sanwarul Haque Sony and General Secretary Rafiqul Islam Sabuj, among others, were present at the inaugural function, added the release.
On the first day, ‘Roots and Wings’, a famous drama, was performed by direction of Theatre and Performance Studies Department of the university.
‘Twelve Angry Man’ was performed by the direction of open space theatre group yesterday evening, the release added.
