Dhaka Nouth City Corporation (DNCC) has arranged an exhibition of rare artworks on the occasion of the 40th death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, father of the Bangali nation.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to attend the programme as the chief guest at the South Plaza of National Parliament in the afternoon today.
The exhibition titled “Chitra Ganthay Shok-gantha” will display rare photographs of the family members of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, including his eight-year-old son Sheikh Russel, who were assassinated on August 15, 1975. At the exhibition, the life of Bangabandhu from childhood to his struggle for the country’s independence will encourage the pro-liberation young generation, organisers expect.
DNCC mayor Annisul Haque dedicated the programme to “New Generation”. The programme is scheduled to be held from 7:00pm to 10:00pm on Thursday, from 3:00pm to 10:00pm on Friday and from 11:00am to 10:00pm on Saturday.
