2 cousins drown in Habiganj

Habiganj: Two minor cousins drowned in the Sutung River at Nazirpur village in sadar upazila yesterday, reports UNB. The deceased were identified as Rupali, 3, daughter of Vanu Sarkar and Priyanka Sarkar, 3, daughter of Gouranga Darkar.
Family sources said the minor girls slipped into the river and drowned while playing on its bank in the afternoon. Later, local people recovered their floating bodies.
They were whisked off to Habiganj Modern Sadar Hospital where doctors declared them dead.
