‘Arms peddler’ held in Ctg

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged arms peddler with two one shutter guns with bullets in Fuzzderhut Bazar area under Sitakunda Upazila in Chittagong on Wednesday.

The arrestee was identified as Md. Shukkur Mia, 21, son of Muktar Hossain, hailing from Shingguria village under Laksam Police Station of Comilla district.

On information, a team of RAB-7 led by Lieutenant Commander Ashekur Rahman, raided a hotel named Al-Madina at Fuzzderhut Bazar in the afternoon of Wednesday and arrested Shukkur Mia with two one shutter guns with bullets.

RAB-7 Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police Mimtanur Rahman said, “We nabbed him while he is escaping. Later, we seized two one shutter guns after searching his body.”
