19th edition of NCL begins today

The 19th edition of the National Cricket League (NCL) kicks-off today with four matches at different venues across the country. As usually the eight divisions are split into two tiers with top four teams of the last edition will vie for the championship title while bottom four teams will play to promote them into the Tier-1.

Defending champions Khulna will take on Rangpur Division at their home venue Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium while Dhaka Division will face off Barisal at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar in the two matches of Tier-1.

Dhaka Metro will play against Chittagong Division at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium and Rajshahi will lock horns with Sylhet at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi in the two matches of Tier-2.

The second round of the NCL is on September 22.
