Yunnan ASEAN Industrial City agreement reached

On August 29, the Yunnan ASEAN Industrial City agreement signing ceremony was held in Kunming. The city’s municipal government, Central Yunnan New District and Singapore-based Hand Company jointly signed a strategic cooperation agreement.

Yunnan is at the intersection of the Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar Economic Corridor and the China-Indochina Peninsular Economic Corridor. The construction of the new Yunnan ASEAN Industrial City will be based on the existing China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park and depend on Singapore’s great experience in urban planning. It will serve as a means of in-depth and diversified Yunnan-ASEAN cooperation, as well as act as an open platform for the two sides to learn from each other.

When completed, the Yunnan-ASEAN Industrial Park will reach new economic heights, leading the province forward in terms of economic development and innovative, eco-friendly regional influence.
