The 3rd national congress of the country’s musical instrument artistes was held at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA), Segun Bagicha in the capital on Monday.
Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor inaugurated the congress, while veteran singer Syed Abdul Hadi, senior secretary of the finance ministry Hedayet Ullah Al Mamun ndc delivered speeches at the programme. Presided over by Gazi Abdul Hakim, secretary of BMF Debu Chowdhury delivered welcome speech at the event.
Instrumentalists Bashu Dev Das and Alauddin Mian were honoured with the lifetime achievement awards at the programme.
Bangladesh Musical Foundation (BMF) organised the programme to mark its 3rd founding anniversary.
Besides, a colourful rally was brought out from the Shilpakala Academy premises to the Jatiya Press Club.
The congress came to an end with a cultural event, which was anchored by popular singer Dinat Jahan.
