Siddiqur Rahman, the college student whose eyes were damaged during a demonstration in the capital on July 20, has been given a job as a telephone operator at the Essential Association Drug Company Limited, reports BSS.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim handed over the appointment letter to Siddikur Rahman at a function in the conference room of the ministry yesterday. He will join the company on October 1.
State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Zahid Maleque, Director General of Directorate General of Health Service Prof Dr Abul Kalam Azad and Directorate General of Essential Association Drug Company Limited Ehsanul Kabir Zuglul, among others, were present at the function.
Speaking on the occasion, the health minister said, “We're happy to give Siddikur a job in keeping our commitment.”
