For the fourth time after the grand alliance government assigned to power, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is visiting Rajshahi today. All are set to make the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visit a success.
Already the old-tattered government buildings beside the roads through which Hasina’s motorcade will pass have got a facelift. Old, pot-holed roads have been repaired. The roads and high ways have been decorated with digital posters, banners and flags.
The government and non-government offices and buildings have also been decorated with colourful banners, festoons and roads dividers and zebra crossings have got a fresh colour.
Meanwhile, central and local Awami League leaders in Rajshahi are spending hectic time taking preparations for public meeting at the Horian Sugar Mills ground under Paba upazila in Rajshahi. They are arranging preparatory meetings, way side meetings and publicity meetings in all units of the district to make Hasina’s meeting a success.
Though the public meeting of Hasina arranged by Paba upazila Awami League will be held in Rajshahi, AL leaders from adjacent districts and upazilas will also attend the meeting.
The speech of the Prime Minister will be exhibited through multi-media projectors at various points. Call Ready, the renowned mike company has already fixed more than 300 mikes at the meeting venue and at adjacent places so that people could hear the speech of Hasina from far flung areas. AL websites and a number of private TV channels, Radio Padma will also telecast and broadcast the programme of Sheikh Hasina in Rajshahi. In a press conference at a local restaurant of the city on Wednesday evening, Ayen Uddin, Member of Parliament of Rajshahi-3 (Paba-Mohonpur) constituency, said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is visiting Rajshahi after a long time and the first time at Paba upazila.
It is a great joy and opportunity for the people of Rajshahi. He said, all preparations have already been completed to receive Shaikh Hasina.
On Thursday noon, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate 23 developmental projects and lay foundation stones during her visit in the district.
Earlier, the Prime Minister will also join the passing-out parade of the ASPs, take salute, review parade and distribute medals among the best probationary ASPs at Bangladesh Police Academy in Sarda under Charghat upazila of the district on Thursday morning.
