Five Rohingyas, including a minor girl with bullet and road accident injuries, were admitted to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) on Tuesday night as they managed to cross the border into Bangladesh fleeing the wave of violence unleashed by the Myanmarese army.
They have been identified as Md Imam Farid, 16, Shawkat Ullah, 28, Md Taher, 21, Abdul Karim,19 and Mariyom, 10.
All of them are residents of Maungdaw area in Rakhine State of Myanmar.
Alauddin Talukder, Assistant Sub-inspector of Chittagong District Police confirmed their entry and later admission to CMCH. They were undergoing treatment at different wards.
