Two killed as bus collides with trailer

Two people were killed and 16 others were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a container trailer at Joralganj area, in front of BSRM Steel Mills on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Mirsharai upazila of Chittagong yesterday afternoon, reports UNB. One of the deceased has been identified as Md Asharaf, 42, a passenger. The bus driver was the second casualty. Sub-inspector Shafiqul Islam, in-charge of Juralganj Highway Police camp, said the accident took place at the area around 5pm when a Chittagong-bound Prantik Paribahan bus from Dhaka collided head-on with a BSRM Steel Mills-bound container trailer, leaving 18 passengers of the bus injured.
