REB subscribers now around 2cr

Bangladesh Rural Electrifica-tion Board (BREB) has provided electricity connection to nearly two crore subscribers under 80 Palli Bidyut Samity (PBS) across the country till August last, reports BSS.

"BREB provided electricity connection to one crore 98 lakh 17 thousand 786 subscribers. Of them, 3,59,391 subscribers get connection in this August only which is a massive achievement of the PBSs," said a press release of BREB in the capital yesterday.

It said BREB is determined to reach power facilities to 90 aspirants of electricity connection by 2018 to implement the Vision 2021 declared by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
