President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) Siddiqur Rahman yesterday expressed the hope to explore a new market for Bangladeshi RMG products in Georgia, reports UNB.
"We hope to explore a new market for garment products in Georgia as it's an important country in the Europe," he said while talking to reporters after a meeting with Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister David Jalagania at the BGMEA Bhaban in the capital.
Jalagania came in Dhaka yesterday along with a high-level Georgian delegation on a two-day visit. Siddiqur said the visiting Georgian delegation expressed the keenness about Bangladesh's ready-made garment products.
They also showed interest to provide technical assistance in the power sector of Bangladesh, he said, adding that the through the visit, the trade relations between the two countries will further be expanded.
