One held with phensidyl

Chittagong: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested one person with 600 bottles of contraband phensidyl syrup from a private car at Darogarhat in Sitakunda upazila of the district this morning, reports BSS.

Assistant Director (media) of RAB-7 Mimtanur Rahman told BSS that their personnel halted the car in Darogarhat area at around 6.30 am responding to a secret tip-off and recovered the phensidyl from it after searching.

The elite anti-crime force also arrested the driver of the car identifying him as Belal Hossain for his alleged involvement in drug peddling. In the preliminary interrogation, Belal confessed that he had been peddling drugs from Feni to Chittagong for long.
