Rajuk announces ID numbers for 837 flats in Uttara

Rajdhani Unnyan Kartipakkha (RAJUK) on Sunday announced ID number (Flat number) of 837 flats under Uttara Apartment Project at RAJUK Bhaban in the capital, reports UNB.
RAJUK for the first time handed over the ID numbers through digitalized lottery at a function in presence of Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain with its Chairman Md Abdur Rahman in the chair.
RAJUK has been constructing 6,636 flats, each 1654 square feet, under Uttara Apartment Project located at Block-A of Uttara Sector-18. Of them, 5,614 flats were given allotment in phases.
Among them, 1832 have already paid four installments. Among 840 livable flats, three were given to SA Games gold medal winners, while remaininf 837 flats ID were announced through lottery on Sunday.
Addressing the function, RAJUK chairman Abdur Rahman said once upon a time people felt confused whether they would get flats.
Now there is no confusion as we handed over ID numbers of the flats, he said.
The ones allotted flats will pay four installments towards payment for the flats within this year, and will get Flat ID by December, he
added. Engineer Mosharraf Hossain said the RAJUK will stop giving allotment of plots.
From now, it will arrange for all to build high-rise building. He said 14,000 more flats will be constructed under Jheelmil project, while 70,000 flats under Purbachal project.
