RAJSHAHI: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to lay foundation stone of 16 development projects and inaugurate six other implemented projects during her visit here on Thursday next, reports BSS.
Deputy Commissioner Helal Mahmud Sharif told journalists yesterday that the premier will lay the foundation stones and open the projects of around Taka 700 crore.
Of the 16 projects, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Hi-tech Park is the largest one.
The park is being established involving around Taka 281.91 crore on 31.63 acres of land in Nabinagar area in the city. It will create employment opportunity for around 14,000 youths.
While four academic buildings of school and colleges in four upazilas will be constructed involving Taka 97 crore.
Other projects included divisional and district family planning building, river bank protection embankment, freedom fighters complex, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Squire, Rajshahi Shishu Hospital and two residential area development.
