The 3rd national congress of the country’s musical instrument artistes will be held at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA), Segun Bagicha in the capital today, reports UNB. Bangladesh Musical Foundation (BMF) will organise the programme to mark its 3rd founding anniversary.
Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor will inaugurate the congress where Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s political affairs adviser HT Imam will be present as the chief guest. Instrumentalists Bashu Dev Das and Alauddin Mian will be honoured with lifetime achievement awards at the programme.
A colourful rally will be brought out from the Shilpakala Academy premises which will parade through the Jatiya Press Club while a discussion will also be arranged. The congress will end with a cultural event.
