A musical concert titled ‘Cello-Piano-Audio-2’ held at the La Galerie of Alliance Française de Dhaka in Dhanmondi on Friday evening.
Noted cellist Philip Hazra and Russian pianist Yulia Evdokimova played together at the second edition of the musical concert.
A number of western timeless compositions like LV Beethoven’s Minuet, C. Saint-Saens’ The Swan, R. Schuman’s Traumerei, C. Gounod’s Ave Maria, P. Simon’s A. Garfunkel, Scarborough Fair and many more in solo and duet performances at the programme titled ‘Cello-Piano-Audio 2’ were performed during the programme.
The duo Philip Hazra and Yulia Evdokimova played at the programme titled ‘Cello-Piano-Audio’, which received a huge response from the audience on May 26 this year.
Philip Hazra has been promoting western classical music in Bangladesh through teaching violin, viola, cello and double bass and teaching violin and cello at Alliance Française de Dhaka since 2007 while Russian instrumentalist Yulia Evdokimova has also been teaching piano in Bangladesh for the last twenty years.
