AFP, LONDON: James Anderson took the best innings figures of his Test career as England were set a target of just 107 to win a three-match series against West Indies 2-1 at Lord's yesterday.
Anderson, who on Friday had become the first England bowler and just the sixth overall to take 500 Test wickets, finished with seven for 42 in 20.1 overs as West Indies were dismissed for 177 after lunch on the third day.
Anderson's return just surpassed his seven for 43 against New Zealand at Trent Bridge in 2008.
