Two bikers killed in Rangpur

RANGPUR: Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident at Hajirhat point on the Rangpur-Syedpur highway on the outskirts of the city here yesterday, reports BSS.

“The accident occurred when a Syedpur bound minibus from Rangpur hit the Dhaka bound motorbike from Nilphamari with two persons aboard there killing on the spot around 11am,”said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali Thana ABM Zahidul Islam.

The deceased were identified as motorcycle driver Ansarul Haque, 33, of Zorabari village and Bulbul Ahmed, 40, of Halholia village under Domar upazila in Nilphamari district, he added.

Police rushed to the spot, recovered the bodies and sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
