Four killed in Habiganj boat capsize

Three women and a child were killed and at least five others were injured in a trawler capsize at Lambabag of Khwai River in the district on Thursday night, reports UNB.

Among the four deceased two were identified as Abola Sarkar, 47, hailing from Batirpur village and Mukta Rani Das, a child from Bhabanipur village of Baniyachang upazila.

A cement-laden trawler carrying passengers, which was going to Radhapur of the Sadar from Chowdhury Bazar, suddenly capsized at Lambabagh around 8:30pm, said UP Chairman of Mokrampur Md Abdul Ahad.

Among the injured, Sahena Talukder was taken to Sadar Modern Hospital.
