CHITTAGONG: A mobile court of Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) yesterday fined 11 vessels a total of Taka 3.5 lakh for different grounds, reports BSS.
Authorised Officer of CPA and Executive Magistrate Mohammad Abul Hashem conducted the mobile court and fined the vessels for different reasons including overloading, blocking the port channel, not keeping safety appliances and certificates by the masters and drivers of the vessels.
The court also fined a private firm Taka one lakh for river grabbing and constructing burg on CPA land without permission.
