Popular Tagore singer Tanjina Toma will perform today at 6pm at Begum Sufia Kamal auditorium of the National Museum in the capital. As a part of the regular musical soirees organised by National Museum, the singer is going to perform today. Toma’s solo performance will include the songs of Tagore, DL Roy, Rajanikanta and Atul Prasad.
Toma has been a singer and a teacher for last two decades. She founded Bibhash, a learning centre for music and art, in 2015 which keeps her busy alongside her music and media pursuits. Toma is also a regular presenter in a popular morning programme titled ‘Robir Abeer’ on SATV.
Famous record label Hindusthan Records of India has recently released a solo album of Toma, ‘Hriday Majhe’. The album features eight songs from various segments of ‘Gitabitan’. Toma is indeed quite thrilled with this release, her seventh album from Bangladesh and India. Earlier, HMV (now Sa Re Ga Ma) released her much celebrated album ‘Tumi O Ami’ from India in 2015. G Series released ‘Khuje Berai’ among her albums that won wide accolades from her fans.
