Fish trader found dead
NATORE: Police recovered the body of a fish trader from Eksingparai area under Singra Upazila yesterday morning, reports BSS.
The deceased was identified as Salamat Mollah, 46, a resident of the area.
Being informed, a team of police rushed to the spot and recovered the body around 7am. The body was later sent to Natore Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Singra Police Station Abdullah-al-Mamun said the police have launched an investigation into the death of the fish trader.
25 families get cash money
NILPHAMARI: Cash money amounting Tk 75,000 of Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund were distributed among 25 flood affected families in Dimla upazila of the district yesterday, reports BSS.
Lawmaker Aftab Uddin Saker distributed the money yesterday afternoon. Each flood affected family got Tk 3,000.
124 kg hemp recovered
HABIGANJ: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh recovered 124 kilograms of hemp from Madhobpur upazila of the district on Wednesday, reports BSS.
Lieutenant colonel Asaduzzaman Chowdhury of BGB-55 said on information they conducted a raid in Jaluabad area of the upazila in the morning and recovered the hemp cost of Tk 4, 34000.
No arrest was made in the drive, Asaduzzaman added.
