Jamaat leader arrested

KHULNA: Police yesterday arrested a leader of Jamaat-e-Islami on charge of subversive activities from Dumuria upazila in the district, reports BSS.

The arrested was identified as Mowlana Habibur Rahman, son of Md Khowaz Ali, hailing from village Ula under Dumuria upazila in the district.

Assistant Superintendent of Ula Mazidia Islamia Madrasa Mowlana Habibur Rahman is the secretary of Dumuria unit Jamaat-e-Islami, confirmed Habil Hossain, officer-in-charge of Dumuria police station.
