The seven militants, who were killed in explosions during an operation of law enforcers at a suspected militant hideout at Mirpur's Mazar Road, were burned to death, said their autopsy report on Thursday, reports UNB.
Dr Sohel Mahmud, head of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital Forensic Department along with Dr Pradip Bishwas and Dr Prabir Sohel started the autopsy around 1:10 pm.
After finishing the autopsy at 1:45 pm Sohel Mahmud told reporters that the militants were burned to death.
They have collected some samples from the deceased persons' bones for DNA test, he said.
Earlier on Wednesday, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered the skulls of seven people, including two women and two children, from the militant hideout.
A fire broke out in the hideout after the militants commenced a daring counterattack of bomb explosions and gunfire against the law enforcers on Tuesday night.
