‘Assault’ on journos protested in Rangpur

Journalists of print and electronics media under the banner of  Sanagbadki Somaj formed a human chain in front of press club yesterday in protest against the ‘police assault’ on two journalists on the court premises in the city.

The correspondent of Independent Television Nazrul Islam Razu and Liakat Ali Badal, correspondent of Ekushey Television were assaulted allegedly by the police constables when they went to cover Khadem Rahmat Ali Murder case news.

In protest against the ‘assault’ journalists of print and electroncs media formed a human chain in front of press club the punishment of those responsible for the ‘attack’.  

Liakat Ali Badal, Manik Sarkar Manik, Mainul Islam, Aftab Hossain, S.M Piyal, Nazrul Islam Razu, Rashid Babu, Shapon Chowdhury, Halim Ansari, Rafiq Sarkar spoke, among others.
