Water levels in 33 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rises and 49 stations recorded falls, reports BSS.
Among the 85 monitored water level stations, water level at one river station is flowing above its danger level and water levels at two monitored river stations have remained steady, a bulletin issued by FFWC said yesterday.
The Brahmaputra-Jamuna and Surma-Kushiyara river systems are in rising trend which may likely to continue in the next 48 hours.
On the other hand, the Ganges-Padma river systems are likely to fall in next 48 hours. Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24-hour ending at 6am today.
