NARAYANGANJ: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader yesterday said BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir should resign from his post as he failed to raise any movement with logical demands, reports BSS.
“The demand of holding the next general election after dissolving the Parliament is illogical, fantastical and hilarious. He should resign from his post as he failed to raise any movement with valid reasons,” Quader said.
Quader, also the Minister for Road, Transport and Bridges, was speaking after inaugurating the digital toll booth at Meghna Toll Plaza in Sonargaon here.
He said, "We came in power with the mandate of people of the country and we will remain in power if they want us. Nothing will happen keeping the Constitution aside. The next general election will be in a free, fair and peaceful manner.”
