Shiba�s debut film �The Story of Samara� hits cinemas Aug 28

Popular runway model and actress Shiba Ali Khan, who has won numerous awards and recognitions in her modeling career, is now set to make her film debut in ‘The Story of Samara’, to be released on August 28. The model-actress has previously appeared in tele-dramas ‘Rajkumar’ and ‘Beche Thaak Bhalobasha’.
Regarding her very first film role, Shiba Ali Khan said, “There was not really a great desire to work in movies. But I was captivated by the script of ‘The Story of Saamara’. I was so fascinated that I started preparing myself for the role. In addition, I am also a great fan of science fiction and fanstasy.”  
The model-actress has the intentions of developing and establishing herself as a complete actress. Hence, for her next role, she has emphasised on the romantic action genre. Her next film, in September, will be directed by Ashikur Rahman Ashik. If everything goes according to plan, popular actor Arefin Shubho will act opposite her.
She also shared her thoughts on the overall experience she had as far as the film industry is concerned. “I knew that the film industry is huge and it is definitely a big deal. But I did not think it was going to be so immense. Preparing oneself for acting is not just enough. You need to experience yourself in dancing as well as fighting. When I first entered the industry, I had to take proper training in all those. While doing my very first movie, I have prepared myself for all these.” She is also very hopeful and optimistic about delivering great performances. She added, “The movie scene is going strong in Dhaka. I ask for everyone’s well wishes. I hope that the viewers will still go to the cinema halls and I hope I get the opportunity to regularly work in good movies.”
To note,  Shiba Ali Khan worked successfully as a model and won the “Babisas Best Runway Model Award 2011”, “Binodondhara Performance Award 2011” and “Glamour Award 2011.” She also won “Trab Award 2011” for her special contribution in runway modeling and “Glamour Award 2012” as a model and actress.
