GM Mollah Abdullah Al Rakib of Bangladesh made his exit from the World Cup Chess after losing his 2nd game of 1st round on Monday in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Rakib went down to world No 7 chess player GM Nakamura Hikaru of USA. GM Rakib lost both games in 1st round against GM Nakamura.
GM Rakib played with white pieces and started Queen’s pawn opening. GM Nakamura choosing to Queen’s Indian Defense and the game continued to irregular system. GM Rakib continued to equal up to 14 moves. After 17 moves GM Nakamura got small advantage but GM Rakib tried desperately and made a blunder at 18 moves and finally he resigned after 27 moves.
GM Rakib qualified to participate as Asian Zone 3.2 champion which was held last March in Nepal.
