DSE, CSE maintain bullish trend

Stocks continued to maintain a bullish trend on both bourses yesterday as the major indices at Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchanges witnessed a rising trend with the active participation of investors, reports BSS.

The broader DSEX of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) closed the day with 44.63 points up at 6083.01. The Shariah DSES and the blue-chip DS30 also maintained the same trend with 4.83 points higher at 1333.79 and with 12.08 points up at 2157.09.

Out of the 321 issues traded on DSE, 173 gained against 118 losing issues.

The day’s trade value at DSE stood at Tk  1049.54 crore and 34.53 crore shares exchanged hands on the day.

The top five gainers of the day were Atlas Bangladesh, Monno Ceramics, Standard Ceramics, Hakkani Pulp and Apex Spinning. Top five losers were Kay and Que, Northern Jute, Islamic Insurance, First Finance and Samata Leather. Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also closed the day up with its major CASPI index ending 103.12 points higher at 18900.99.

At CSE, out of the 248 traded issues, 144 gained while 83 declined.

The trade value at CSE was Tk 59.59 crore and 2.5 crore shares exchanged hands on the day.
