BCL leader beaten dead in capital

A leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was beaten to death at Adabar in the capital on Sunday night, reports UNB. Police said a group of miscreants swooped on Mashiur Rahman Mashu, environment affairs secretary of Adabar thana unit of BCL, and beat him up with rod and sticks, leaving him injured.

On information, police rescued Mishu and took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead, said inspector Aminul Islam of Adabar Police Station. However, the motive behind the murder is still unclear, he said.
