CAPM Venture Capital and Finance Limited (CVCFL) has received licence of non-bank financial institution (FI), says a press release.
The Bangladesh bank has issued a circular on Sunday regarding the issuance of non-bank financial institution license to CVCFL.
The central bank has awarded the licence to the company on July 16 as per the authority provided under section 4(1) of the Financial Institution Act 1993, according to the circular. With this licence in effect the total numbers of financial institutions are now 33 (thirty three), the statement said.
CVCFL is sponsored by local and foreign entrepreneurs as well as organisations including Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) and Sadharan Bima Corporation. Mahmud Hussain is the lead promoter and Chairman of this newly licensed Financial Institution.
