All the government, semi-government and private offices, including banks and financial institutions, resumed yesterday after a three-day Eid vacation, reports BSS.
Attendance in the different government offices and private farms was thin as many officials and employees were taking a day-off today as well.
Sources concerned said the offices will take their usual look from Sunday next, after the weekend. However, some people were seen rushing to their respective offices to dispose of their pending urgent works on the opening day.
Meanwhile, a festive mood is prevailing at most of the offices. Officials and staffs were seen exchanging Eid greetings and embracing their colleagues. The holiday-seekers, who went to their villages to celebrate the Eid with their relatives, have already started to return to their working places. City streets still remain free from the usual chaotic snarl-up.
