Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury said yesterday said the world should stand beside Rohingyas and create pressure on the Myanmar government to bring them back to their own land, reports BSS.
"Bangladesh always stands besides Rohingyas and this time it is trying its best to help them. But, we also have limitations of assets. So, the world should come forward to help in creating pressure on the Myanmar government to bring them back to their own land," she said.
She said this while exchanging greetings with officers and employees of the Agriculture Ministry upon completion of the Eid holidays yesterday. Matia, also a presidium member of Awami League expressed hope that the Myanmar government would take necessary steps to put an end to the sufferings of the Rohingya people.
