Li Yong, director general (DG) of the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), will be visiting Bangladesh from September 6 to 8 at the invitation of industries minister Amir Hossain Amu, reports BSS.
He will lead a 4-member delegation during the three-day visit, said a media release of the industries ministry yesterday.
“Li Yong’s visit is very important for Bangladesh as the UNIDO has chosen Bangladesh as a pilot country in Asia for the first time under its country programme. It will finalise the country programme for 2017-2021 through this visit,” said the release.
