Father, son electrocuted

A man and his son were electrocuted at Kanchanpara village in sadar upazila yesterday morning. The deceased were Makbul Hossain, 55, and his son Monwar Hossain, 33, residents of the village. Police said Monwar came in contact with a live electric wire when he was setting up an irrigation pump at his crop field at about 11 am. His father Makbul came forward to helping him, but he too got critically injured. Local people sent them to Nilphamari Sadar Hospital, where they died after some time.
