Gallery Chayamachi, Osaka in Japan, has organised the 41st solo painting exhibition titled ‘Peace In The Times Of Disquiet’ by artist Mohammad Iqbal, who ia an associate professor of Drawing and Painting Department, Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka. A number of 21 paintings (oil, acrylic, mixed media, drawing, etc.) by Mohammad Iqbal are being displayed at the ongoing exhibition. Most of visitors are moved deeply to see them as soon as they set step in the gallery. Moreover, many of them asked him his background to create such profound art works.
In Japan, there is an idiom of ‘The eyes are as eloquent as the mouth’. Most of the viewers are attracted by the significant eyes of people painted by him. The expressions show their kind, unhappy, sad, involved things.
The exhibition was inaugurated on August 24 and will continue till August 29. Gallery Chayamachi is a renowned art gallery at Osaka in Japan. l
